IRMER Training for Non-Medical Referrers to Radiology

These 1 hour courses are intended to provide training for prospective non-medical Referrers for diagnostic radiology procedures involving exposure of patients to ionising radiation (x-ray). This training is a prerequisite for recognition and entitlement to refer into the Radiology Department of the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. It is suitable for registered health care professionals, such as nurses, physiotherapists, speech therapists, podiatrists. A certificate of attendance is issued.

    Radiation Protection Supervisor Training Course

    This training course is suitable for both prospective Radiation Protection Supervisors and those already in post who are in need of update training. Attendance for the whole day is required for both of these staff groups.

    The course delivers all of the HSE Syllabus (HSE IRP6) and will cover core issues in the morning along with specific sessions for Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy in the afternoon. There will be a mix of presentations and workshops throughout the day and we encourage the attendees to make the course interactive!

    Leeds Medical Laser Safety Training course
